Scary Time!

Friday we stopped at a Wendy's to eat lunch. We had a side of yellow mustard, and thinking that the ingredients in mustard were all things Christopher could eat we let him dip a fry in it. Only a few seconds after he ate the pea sized amount of mustard, he began itching and his face turned red! His lips began to swell and then his eyes and cheeks! We had to use the epi-pen, and call 911. When the paramedics arrived we rode in the ambulance to the hospital. The doctors gave Christopher an oral dose of a steroid, and a few hours later sent us home. He had to take the steroid one more time 36 hours later.

The next day, Christopher looked perfectly fine and you never could have guessed what had happened the day before. Thank goodness I was prepared! That is something I never want to have to repeat; but I know that if I do, I will be ready.

SNOW!

We had our first snow yesterday. It was so pretty. I got Christopher dressed very warmly and we headed out. Christopher was very surprised to see the white stuff falling from the sky. He didn't want to touch the snow....but he did enjoy walking in the snow. We stayed outside for a little while, then Christopher wanted to go in his stroller. We strolled to Elsa's house and back. Christopher still didn't want to come inside, so he walked on the back deck. He like the sound of the snow crunching beneath his shoes. After another minute or so we came back in.

("I don't know about this. Are you coming, daddy?")

(Look at all that snow!)

(What a fun walk.)

(Crunching in the snow.)

(Lots of white stuff.)

(What a cool snow print.)

With this being the first snow of the season, we thought this would be a perfect day to put up our Christmas tree. Christopher was confused about what mommy and daddy were doing, but once the tree was up, he was very excited. He had lots of fun pointing out all the ornaments....and then taking them off the tree. Don't worry they are shatterproof.

(Daddy takes the tree out of the box.)

(Putting on the tree topper.)

(What a pretty tree.)

(Look Evelyn...the package is still under the tree unopened.)

(Look at that tree!)

("Why is this ball on the tree?")

("Will this come off?")

Good News

Christopher went to the eye doctor today and we have good news. He now only has to wear his patch for one hour everyday. He doesn't need to go back to the eye doctor for three months.

First Tooth

Christopher is no longer toothless! He got his first tooth in October. He is still working on having it come all the way in. He is also working on his second tooth, right next to the one he had now.
